Most agree that two brains are better than one and the sky is the limit, once brainstorming and idea-sharing with like-minded people gets underway. However, nothing undermines this faster than the belief that employees on the same team must compete to shine.

Learning to trust others, work together, give and accept ideas, all are difficult skills to master –but they are achievable by all. While healthy competition is NOT inherently bad, it becomes a problem if it holds a team back because members believe there can only be one winner. In a collaborative environment no one wins unless everyone wins, resulting in the entire team crossing the finish line together.
